The first part of the report from my trip to Lipetsk Aviation Center. The Center was significantly reformed in recent years, renamed in 2010 and received the new designation 4th State Order of Lenin Order of the Red Banner Center for Training of Aircrew and Military Test of Ministry of Defence of Russia named after Valery Chkalov. However, the Center is most often referred as Lipetsk Aviation Center.

Lipetsk Aviatiuon Center traces its history from Air Force Center for Combat Application, that was formed April 19, 1953 in Tambov city. In 1954, the Center was located in Voronezh, and in 1960 was relocated to Lipetsk and renamed to Center for Combat Application and Training of Aircrew. And as I wrote above in 2010 the Center was renamed to the current designation. The objectives of the Center are conducting science and research work,development of ways of combat application, as well as training and retraining of aircrew. Currently the Center consists of four squadron: 1st Fighter Air Squadron with Su-27, Su-27UB, Su-27SM and Su-30, 2nd Fighter Air Squadron with MiG-29 and MiG-29UB, 3rd Bomber Air Squadron with Su-24, Su-34 and 4th Assault Air Squadron with Su-25 and Su-25UB.
The report is divided into three parts, the second with photos of Su-34 and MiG-29, third part - An-26, training simulators and airfield vehicles.
